Following the success of Ubisoft's iconic Wii launch title,
Rayman Raving Rabbids,
which has sold close to a million copies around the world on Wii alone,
it's been revealed that the company is underway with development of a
sequel.
According to N-Gamer magazine, via N-Europe,
the second coming of the Rabbids will see them complemented by a more
detailed narrative background, which will tell the story of their
training for world domination, which takes place in their own
top-secret camp, secretly hidden under a shopping centre. Apparently,
Rayman himself will infiltrate for a variety of new minigames, pushing
the Wii Remote to its limits once again.
The graphics are said to look
"more polished"this time, and a couple of minigames have been detailed. One will see
four Rabbids strapped to lab tables, with electricity-throwing cathodes
staring down on them. Meanwhile, another will have some Rabbids talking
on mobile phones in a movie theatre, complete with outrageous costumes,
like pirates and yanky sports players.
No more is known about the title, including when it'll make its debut. Hopefully Ubisoft will start speaking soon.
