Nintendo's popular Mii characters are set to invade Electronic Arts' upcoming FIFA Soccer 08 according to the latest edition of Nintendo Power, which has revealed that a collection of mini-games will be a part of the package, in order to cater to "family members whose idea of a keeper is a boyfriend who brings flowers."
One of the mini-games detailed is rhythm-based, and involves players
keeping the ball in mid-air, requiring the Wii Remote to be flicked in
a certain direction as the projectile lands in a target circle.
Foosball is apparently among those available too, as well as a shootout
game, which sees multiple players take on a single goalie, and low
scorers assume the role of the outnumbered in the next round.
Amusingly, playing through these will unlock "Ronald-mii-nho."
The main game will be armed with full motion control as well, and it's on-track for a fall/spring release.
