ok, after some quick research the way you say "air" is much different then the way we do. First off--now what saying I'm refers to australian english in general--your E's are prenounced like the latin e. in General american (GA) english, we say it a bit deeper. Similar to how you would say the "ir" in bird. GA "air" has that sound and then after that, the r is prenouced, and...well...'mixed' with the begining sound. the way an australian would say it, is by sayng a streched latin 'e'. However you apollo--refering to the"quick r"--also known as swallowing the r, is common in british english, and various european dialects mostly germanic dailects.
