The Simpsons Game rumoured for Wii and DS

The Simpsons might be heading to platforms including Nintendo's Wii and DS, according to retailers.

There are game revelations made through official announcements, and then there are those that come thanks to ever-reliable retailer product listings. The latest, it would seem, is a game based on The Simpsons Movie, suitably dubbed The Simpsons Game, and it's apparently in development by Electronic Arts.

The tentatively-titled game is poised to land on Nintendo DS, Playstation 3, Playstation 2, Xbox 360, PSP and last but not least, Wii. Beyond that, nothing more is known, although with the movie's July 27 worldwide release drawing near, no doubt we'll have confirmation, or a debunking, soon.
