Unveiled is the news that Gotham City's hero is coming to Wii (and possibly DS) in the form of LEGO Batman: The Videogame. Developed by Traveller's Tales, specifically the same team responsible for LEGO Star Wars and LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy, as well as Super Monkey Ball Adventure, the game is expected to take the same approach as LEGO Star Wars, with players able to build and drive vehicles from the world of Batman, and hopefully some co-op play, as well as the ability to control many characters from Gotham City.
The game's storyline is that Batman and Robin are called in to help out after a mass breakout at Arkham Asylum, with the most dangerous villains on the loose. Batman and Robin will have to use many classic gadgets and build and control vehicles such as the Batmobile to apprehend the criminals.
LEGO Batman: The Videogame is expected to be released sometime in 2008. It has not been confirmed which platforms the Caped Crusader will be making an appearance on, however.
