| According to games radar Sony of America will conclude selling their lower end of the ps3.
Sony representative Dave Karraker said that the $499 version of the console - which sports a 20GB hard drive, lacks Wi-Fi connectivity and has been considerably harder to find than the $599 version - will continue to be sold only until the current supply is sold out.
"At launch, we offered two separate models of PLAYSTATION 3 to meet the diverse needs and interests of our PlayStation fan base. Initial retail demand in North America was upwards of ninety percent in favor of the 60GB [version], so we manufactured and shipped-in accordingly. Due to the overwhelming demand for the 60GB model from both retailers and consumers, we have ceased offering the 20GB model here in North America. In addition to the larger internal hard drive, the 60GB PlayStation 3 features added storage media slots and built-in Wi-Fi not found in the 20GB system. Based on retailer and consumer feedback, we have decided to focus our current efforts on the more popular 60GB model."
If you are willing to grab the cheaper version of the ps3, you better act fast. |

| I reckon that if someone was willing to fork out a lot of money for the PS3 they'd aim for the more expensive one. I mean, you don't want to have your friends thinking that you got a crappy version when you've already payed so much for it.
I heard a rumour that Nintendo would release a better version for the Wii soon, with better graphics and stuff. Unfortunately, it was just a rumour. Though it made me think - a Wii with graphics comparable to the 360/PS3? Sounds like a super machine! I know that a machine that big would need a fan so it would be noisy and the loading time would be a lot greater, though I still think that they would sell like hotcakes. I hope they don't release what I call Wii2 too soon however, because that would make owners (such as myself) of the original Wii feel kind of ripped off.
Does anyone know if there would be any reasonable way to upgrade your Wii without having to by another machine, which is short of ripping it apart and installing an entirely different hard drive? |

| Nintendo will not make an enhanced wii, you may be confused with the DVD-hybrid only selling in japan.
Nintendo announced it will not divide its fans into two categories with such a family friendly console. It would shatter the Wii's image, also the developers.
If it was to happen, Nintendo would have done it in the first instance.
There is no point upgrading your wii, Nintendo will release DVD playback software in the near future. Making it a hd dvd player is utterly useless and would be more expensive than buying a player alone. That also would shatter the wii's image.
Again, if you are concerned about memory, Nintendo is likely to put those 2 usb ports into use. |

| Possibly Nintendo's plan for the next generation of consoles?
This generation is sure to last for a while, considering the hype all consoles are receiving. |

| Yeah, though I am starting to wish that the Wii had the graphics of the Playstation3 or even the 360. It could just be Sony marketing Nintendo's weakness, but I'm starting to feel a need for great graphics.
I feel as though I would rather have a fan and great graphics than just graphics pretty much equal to the GameCube. However, the game I'm pretty much basing this opinion on is Twilight Princess, which was meant for the GameCube.
I suppose time will tell. |

| I heard about this (I always hear about news before), and I'm surprised that it didn't sell that well, I guess people figured if they were gonna spend 500 dollars they might as well bump it up to 600. | |

| The 20GB shouldn't have even been offered or made in the first place. There is no point in it. God doesn't exist |

| I know THAT god doesn't exist. But it wouldn't hurt to use the definition of god to describe my beliefs of time ^.^
It makes more sense |
