I did the first halo, it's the only reason I beat the game, it got so tedious about level 6. Story isn't the only thing that makes a great game. gameplay, control, and orignallity are musts.

I agree, but i have played crap games that have a great story (ala Jak 1, that was the most annoying game i have ever played)

Halo 3 is almost built solely for the purpose of online multiplayer, if you are not a supporter of that then i suggest you to avoid this game. Unless if you are a fan of the franchise that is
