News: Rumors confirmed to be true; X box 360 Elite is go

Yes that's right folks, Microsoft is upgrading their 360 with some modifications to help combat the tank-like powers that the ps3 can dish. Just like the core and pro 360s, this will be another version. Aside from the new, black chrome that it comes with, it is essentually the same machine.



The 360 Elite will offer HDMI support, and a 120GB hard drive, much more than the standrad one offered now in the pro versions. This is coming out this sunday, and will be retailed at $480 USD.

Is it worth it? Not really, the hard drive is nice, but honestly: +80 bucks? I think I'll stick with the pro. Destroid couldn't have said it better themselves:

I reckon i would go for the eliite cause it sounds better and faster

well, it's better in the sense that you own A LOT of 360 games, so you need 120 gigs of memory to hold all of it, and you have an HDMI tv, that's basically really good HD.

Ill probably get this as my 360 when i finally get one, if the normal versions dont have black skins by that time.
